Crispy Buffaque Chicken Wings
Oven-crisped wings tossed in a buffalo–BBQ butter sauce with ranch and crudités.

Ingredients
Chicken wings
- 4 lbs chicken wings
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons pepper
- Avocado oil spray
Buffalo BBQ sauce
- ¼ cup Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons Frank’s RedHot
- 2 tablespoons butter
To serve
- Ranch dressing
- Celery sticks
- Carrot sticks
Method
- Preheat the oven to 475°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and place a cooling rack inside. Spray the rack generously with cooking oil.
- Pat the chicken wings very dry with paper towels.
- In a large bowl, combine the wings, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
- Place the coated wings on the prepared rack. Spray generously with cooking oil.
- Bake at 475°F for 15 minutes, until golden. Flip, spray with oil, then bake another 15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- While the wings cook, make the sauce: microwave the butter until liquid, stir in Frank’s RedHot, then stir in the BBQ sauce.
- Transfer the cooked wings to a large bowl. Pour the warm Buffalo BBQ sauce over and toss until evenly coated.
- Serve hot with ranch dressing, celery sticks, and carrot sticks.
